Description
Alistair qualified from University College Dublin in 1986. Following a period working in England, he subsequently worked as a partner in the small animal section of a mixed practice in N Ireland where he developed an interest in small animal cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery. He left in 2005 to establish a small animal cardiothoracic medical and surgical referral service in Belfast and to set up a Holter Monitoring service available to veterinary surgeons. Alistair has lectured widely to both vets and vet nurses in Ireland, the UK and Europe on topics related to cardiology, ultrasonography, minimally invasive surgery and interventional cardio-respiratory and vascular procedures.
