Pam qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1979 and worked in mixed practice for the first part of her career before becoming a partner in a small animal hospital for 17 years. She was a Practice Standards Inspector from the beginning of the BSAVA practice standards scheme and continued with the RCVS scheme, moving up to Lead Assessor by 2016. She has been involved in Assessor training and is very keen on consistency of assessment visits.
Jacqui graduated from the University of Bristol in 1981 and immediately went in to small animal practice in Liverpool. She moved to the North East a year later, setting up her own small animal practice after the birth of her son in 1986. The practice was granted Hospital status in 2002, and the practice grew to become a four-vet 100% small animal practice before joining Vet Partners in 2016. Jacqui achieved her Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in September 2000 and continues to have a special interest in surgery. She was President of the RCVS from 2012-2013, was made a Fellow of the RCVS in 2017, and currently chairs the Practice Standards Group.
