This webinar will cover things like pressure care, considerations for positioning depending on surgery undertaken, postural sets for neurological patients and how to safely move the minimally ambulatory patient. Katie Meredith is a Chartered Veterinary Physiotherapist: a title which required her to qualify as a Chartered Human Physiotherapist, graduating from the University of Manchester in 2004 (BSc Hons), and then achieving a Masters Degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy from The Royal Veterinary College in 2010, enabling her to treat animals. The qualifications are considered to be the gold standard in Veterinary Physiotherapy and are recognised internationally. Katie continues to treat humans as a Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist at one of the North West’s leading Paediatric Hospitals alongside her role as a Chartered Veterinary Physiotherapist treating animals referred to her from all over the country.Treating both humans and animals ensures Katie stays at the forefront of research, and keeps her knowledge and skills sharp and adaptable to all situations. Katie also now teaches on the MSc Veterinary Physiotherapy Courseat The University of Liverpool providing clinical and non clinical training to the Chartered Veterinary Physiotherapists of the future.
