Despite a correlation between engagement and organisational performance, there remains a lack of understanding of the leadership skills that are required to create an organisational climate in which employees are able to give the very best of themselves at work. This provocative session will suggest that many leaders lack the capabilities required to lead engagement and will explore how the process of leadership has changed when it comes to engaging the workforce, which has important implications for the types of leaders we recruit and promote and the leadership skills we value and develop.
