Description
In this presentation we will review the dental anatomy and physiology of rabbits and common pet rodents, including guinea pigs and chinchillas. Dental disease problems will be discussed including clinical signs, physical examination findings, diagnostic techniques, and treatment.
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
- Describe the dental anatomy of rabbits and common pet rodents
- Diagnose common dental disease presentations in these small mammals
- Determine the optimum diagnostic techniques based on equipment availability
- Apply treatment techniques to correct common dental problems
