Rabbits are highly social animals that live in large communities – this is essential for their survival in the wild. When kept alone, they show health and behavioural problems and will work very hard for visual access to other rabbits. However, they are very territorial and introducing unfamiliar rabbits to each other (‘bonding) can be very hard. Rabbit relationships are not always straightforward.
