Dr Simon Daniels is a senior lecturer at the Royal Agricultural University specialising in equine gastrointestinal health. Simon started out as an animal scientist and spent time working in the feed industry before moving back to academia. Simon worked for the University of Liverpool vet school on a knowledge exchange project in equine parasitology and subsequently completed his PhD ‘Equine anthelmintics: efficacy and effects on intestinal health’ with Prof Chris Proudman at University of Surrey Vet School. Simon has worked in academia for the past nine years and alongside teaching he is actively involved in gut health research.
When not up to his elbows in G/I tracts Simon enjoys spending family time in West Wales with his wife, daughter and their dogs and horses.
