Bio

Dr. Cruz completed his degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Zulia, Venezuela, in 1994. Later in 1995-2003, he became a Professor of Veterinary Radiology at the same University trained by a radiologist who completed residency at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Cruz completed a combined residency and master of science program in Veterinary Radiology and Radiological Health Sciences, respectively, at Colorado State University; 2000-2003. He obtained the diplomate status of the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) afterwards.

Previous jobs/ positions: Visiting Assistant Professor at Oklahoma State University, USA, August 2003-June 2004. Assistant Professor of Veterinary Radiology at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, in June 2004-2011; following this position, in August 2011, Dr. Cruz decided to go to private practice and become a consultant/ staff radiologist at Antech Imaging Services, California, USA / Mississauga Canada. Dr. Cruz still does this today. Dr. Cruz is also currently doing locum Veterinary Imaging work on the floor in different Veterinary hospitals and Universities in Canada (Vancouver, London, Toronto, Saskatchewan (Western College of Veterinary Medicine), University of Guelph.

Dr. Cruz has multiple publications in indexed scientific journals and research papers/abstracts, from previous University work, presented, in oral and poster format, at scientific meetings in the America and Europe. Dr. Cruz has been invited lecturer to scientific meetings, workshops, wet labs in Canada and other countries like Costa Rica, Venezuela, Portugal.
