Phil has worked in cattle practice at Tarwin Veterinary Group, South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia, since graduating in 1981. He has a special interest in downer cows. This led to a PhD entitled “Examination, diagnosis, prognosis and management of downer cows” at The University of Melbourne in conjunction with Dairy Australia, which was completed in 2015.

Phil is passionate about helping educate veterinarians and farmers to be better at managing recumbent cows by highlighting the importance of nursing care and its relationship with secondary damage and outcome. He has lectured extensively to vets and farmers in Australia and overseas. Recumbent cow management is an important animal welfare area for the dairy industry.

Webinars are a really a great idea, especially in my case (mom of young children, so taking a few days to go to seminars is nearly impossible!), and I know I'm not the only one!

Adeline Vinrech Vet, France

"Since having 2 kids, I've found it difficult to find time to get out to courses, so The Webinar Vet has been my lifeline. It has been fantastic"
