Speaker bio page for Nicola Parry

Nicky is a 1997 graduate of the University of Liverpool. She spent several years working in mixed general practice in before undertaking a residency in anatomic pathology at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine. After her residency, she initially remained at Penn before relocating to join the faculty at Tufts University’s Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. At Tufts, she taught vet students, provided diagnostic services to the teaching hospitals, directed the anatomic pathology residency training program, and collaborated on research projects. In 2009, Nicky moved to a position as Chief of Pathology in the Division of Comparative Medicine at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After 6 years there, she left at the end of 2014 to set up a business as an independent pathology consultant. Nicky is the author of numerous journal articles and book chapters on a variety of pathology topics. She has also continually served on several professional committees since 2005, predominantly with the ACVP, AVMA, and Indiana Veterinary Medical Association.
