Dr. Klaus Earl Loft have worked at Angell’s MSPCA’s Dermatology service since January 2011. Angell Animal Medical Center is located in Boston Massachusetts in the North Eastern US. Angell AMC or Massachusetts SPCA is one of the largest animal hospitals with more than 85.000 annual appointments seen in 2017. The dermatology service is part of multi-specialty service hospital with state of the art a video-otoscopy, CO2 laser, MRI, CT and all the bells and whistles equipment available. Klaus graduated from the Royal Agricultural & Veterinary University of Denmark in 1999. Upon graduation, he worked first in private practice in Denmark and Sweden. Where he became increasingly interested in dermatology and allergies and began to focus his case load on dermatology in early 2001. He moved the family to USA in 2005 and completed an American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) approved residency at Michigan State University in 2007. After completing the residency he started working in the greater Boston area and New England since 2007,first at a VCA regional center in Weymouth MA and since 2011 primarily at Angell AMC but has worked as consulted in Portland, Maine, Manchester New Hampshire and in Western Massachusetts seeing referral patients as a visiting dermatology consultant . Klaus practices dermatology exclusively, and enjoy seeing cats and dogs with chronic ear problems, complex skin and ear infections, severe allergies, cutaneous cancerous conditions and immune mediated skin problems. He has published several articles and lectured both in Scandinavia, Europe and the United States. His special interests are feline dermatology and management of chronic ear disease in both cats and dogs.
