Bio

Jane graduated from the University of Cambridge and completed a surgical internship at the University of Bristol before working in a busy general practice in London. She left general practice to pursue a Surgical Residency and clinical position at the Royal Veterinary College, London and became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgery in 2002. After four years at the Animal Health Trust she moved to the University of Cambridge in 2006 where she is currently a Senior Lecturer in Soft Tissue Surgery. Jane is interested in all aspect of soft tissue surgery, particularly respiratory and oncological cases. Jane’s main area of clinical research is brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome, the objective assessment of airway function in these dogs and the development of effective surgical strategies for them.
