Bio

Professor Wood is an infectious disease epidemiologist, who now studies zoonotic diseases at the human animal interface, especially bat viruses in sub-Saharan Africa and bovine TB in Ethiopia and India. He is a European specialist in veterinary public health and has published more than 250 papers in international journals and is now Dean of Cambridge University Veterinary School, also acting as an advisor to government on animal disease control.
