Bio

Anne obtained her DVM at the University of Montreal in 1991 whereupon she completed a residency in clinical pathology and Masters of Veterinary Science at Washington State University. She became as diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (clinical pathology) in 1995 and returned to her alma mater at Montreal to work as a lecturer where she later headed the veterinary teaching hospital’s clinical pathology laboratory. As of 2000, she became increasingly involved with the European Society of Veterinary Clinical Pathology and became de facto member of its college in 2002. In 2004 she carried out a sabbatical at Utrecht University and as of 2005 became increasingly involved in toxicological work in the pharmaceutical industry. She left academia and worked in this sector until 2009 after which the lure of diagnostic work lured her back into clinical practice. With her IT husband, Anne co- founded the first UK-based veterinary telemedicine company, which now has over 50 consultants with country-dedicated teams on several continents to assist first opinion veterinarians for online telereferral. Anne also provides clinical chemistry lectures at Liverpool’s veterinary school.
