Andy graduated with distinction from the University of Liverpool in July 2008. Following graduation he spent three and a half years working in a mixed animal practice in West Yorkshire where he developed a strong interest in all aspects of small animal surgery. Andy returned to Neston in September 2012 and completed a 13 month position as an Intern in Small Animal Studies at the Small Animal Teaching Hospital, University of Liverpool. After finishing his residency in Small Animal Surgery, Andy was appointed as a Lecturer in 2016. Outside of the veterinary world Andy is a keen footballer and Manchester United fan. He has recently developed an interest in squash which he plays regularly with his other colleagues at the SATH. When not trying to satisfy his competitive alter ego, Andy enjoys spending time with his wife Jess, walking his two little terriers Molly and Peggy and it is not unusual to hear him playing his Saxophone. Andy enjoys all aspects of small animal surgery but has particular interests in complex fracture management and wound management and reconstruction.
