Bio

Graduated Liverpool University in 2007, worked in the UK and in the USA at zoological institutions, exotic referral clinic and a wildlife hospital. Completed an ACZM approved residency at Cornell University in 2014, and became board certified with the ACZM in 2015. Obtained the Certificate in advanced veterinary practice (Zoo med) in 2014. Worked at Marwell Zoo post residency before moving to the University of Tennessee as an associate professor in Zoological medicine. Current research work includes large felid anesthesia and medicine, red panda echocardiography and Great ape anesthesia advancements.
