Alison Lee

Bio

Alison studied veterinary medicine in University College Dublin (UCD) and graduated in 2013. She also completed an intercalated degree in Veterinary Pathology at the Royal Veterinary College from 2010 to 2011. After a year in small animal practice in the UK, she completed her anatomic pathology residency in UCD and became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathology in 2019. During her residency, she conducted research on Ovine Pulmonary Adenocarcinoma (OPA) in sheep, as well as partaking in research into bovine respiratory disease. She now works as part of the anatomic pathology team at NationWide Laboratories. Her current interests include companion animal dermatopathology and oncology, exotic animals and digital pathology. Alison lives in Devon (with an 18-year-old, hyperthyroid cat) and when she’s not at the microscope, she enjoys hiking on Dartmoor or along the coast, running and playing violin.
