Biography

Vicki attended the University of British Columbia before heading to the University of Saskatchewan to complete a DVM in 1990. After completing a small animal internship at the University of Minnesota she worked in general, referral and emergency small animal practices before returning to Saskatoon to complete MSc and PhD degrees in epidemiology. Vicki joined the Animal Health Trust in 2003 and became Head of Small Animal Epidemiology before leaving in 2009. Since then she has been self-employed, continuing to do collaborative research whilst also being editor of Veterinary Record Open and acting chief executive for the Animal Cancer Trust charity.
