Simon is a Senior lecturer at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester in equine gastrointestinal health and disease. He is also involved in postgraduate research at the University of Surrey, School of veterinary medicine. Simon’s research interests are with equine gastro-intestinal health and disease including both parasitology and nutrition. Simon’s parasitology focus is anthelmintic resistance and the role of cyathostomins in colic.
Outside of academia Simon is a horse rider and lives in West Wales on a small holding with his wife, daughter and a collection of animals predominantly made up of dogs and horses!
