Profit from Diagnostics: The business and clinical case for doing more ‘in-house’

Thursday 16 October, Staverton Park, Daventry

‘The best day’s CPD I’ve been to in 10 years’

Are you sending work out the door you could be doing in-house?  Do you want to invest in new equipment and training but can’t quite decide which way to go?  This one day of workshops and trade stands will be the best investment you make all year.

A key way to improve practice profitability is by diagnosing more effectively and treating more in-house.  Our stellar line up of referral vets, successful first opinion practitioners and equipment suppliers will help you decide where to invest to get the best return and how to make the most of the equipment you already have.  They will also share tools to help record and track income per vet helping you ensure that no potential income is walking back out the door.

Dr Mark Patteson, Veterinary Specialist in Cardiology, Paddy Mannion, Veterinary Specialist in Imaging and Peter Southerden, European Specialist in Veterinary Dentistry will head up the list of speakers.   You will also have the opportunity to meet other like minded practice owners, managers and clinical directors.

Mark Patteson will make the argument for doing more with your ECG machine, while Peter Southerden will make the case for shifting your practice mindset around dentistry.  Paddy Mannion will consider the consider the pros and cons of interpreting your imagery interpretation in-house, via telemedicine or by referral.  Other seminar subjects include the business and clinical case for laparoscopic spays, how to make the most of your microscope and digital x-ray, and the use of stem cells and platelet rich plasma in regenerative medicine – is it a realistic option for first opinion practice?

The day will combine the clinical case with the financial.   Brian Faulkner will present a relevant and practical seminar on how to track the performance of individual vets via dashboards and income analysis.   Braemar Finance, our headline sponsor will help you work out the most tax efficient and cost effective way to finance your investment in new equipment.  At last year’s event, one delegate claimed that a single tip in this seminar paid for the day several times over!

The day is also an excellent opportunity to talk to suppliers of equipment with over 20 relevant and focused exhibitors.   The venue is Staverton Park, Daventry, from 9:30am to 5:00pm.  CPD certificates, lunch and refreshments are included.  The cost is from just £100 for SPVS/VPMA members.
