Virtual Congress has always been focused on helping vets around the world. For the past seven years, we have committed to providing free CPD to vets from underprivileged countries through our One4One scheme, whereby we donate one ticket for every ticket sold.
This year, we’re going even further. We have reached an agreement with the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) to offer free tickets to all members of that organisation who are based in developing nations. We hope that this will continue our quest to ensure that financial circumstances are not a barrier to animal welfare anywhere in the world. We recently sent a delegation to the WSAVA conference in Canada to sign an official contract, so everything is now set to move forward.
WSAVA President Dr Shane Ryan said: “Increasing access to veterinary CE is the most effective way to advance the skills and knowledge of veterinarians around the world. Online CE is affordable and convenient for colleagues in countries in which traditional CE is limited. We hope that our members will take up the offer of free or discounted access to Virtual Congress 2020 and take advantage of the great learning on offer.”
