Most people would say that becoming a qualified vet is enough challenge for one lifetime. Rob Pope is not most people. When he’s not working as a vet, Rob raises money for charity by running. Lots and lots of running.

Inspired by the classic film Forrest Gump, Rob became the first (and to date, only) person to complete the full Forrest marathon, crossing the USA four times – that’s a distance of 15,000 miles.

Rob will be talking at Virtual Congress 2020 about his mission, including what it takes to complete an exercise of that magnitude, and what compelled him to do it in the first place. Linking it to his veterinary work and zest for charitable giving, Rob will show how some people really go the extra mile (and many more on top) to do good things in the world.

As with all of our speakers, you’ll be able to send in questions for Rob, so you’ve got a little time to think what you might like to ask. If you haven’t yet got your ticket for VC, get it now by clicking below.
