I’m getting nostalgic. It’s over 20 years since I went to my first ESVD congress which was held in Bordeaux in early June 1994- fifty years after d-day. In fact, I remember catching up with some of the comemmorations on French television during my stay there. That first conference was amazing. It was still in the early days of ESVD and Didier Carlotti was organising. Didier has done a webinar for us and is a very well known French dermatologist. He is also a wine lover- he lives in Bordeaux! Wine and oysters were served at all the breaks between lectures. I was young and sensible and managed to get the balance right between drinking and staying awake for the following lectures. The next year I passed my CertVD.
It was also the first time I met Tony Liepman, then of Leo now of Animalcare. We sat on a bus all the way to the Cos d’estournal just across the brook from Chateau Lafite and chatted about life and veterinary matters and have stayed friends ever since.
Tony asked me recently to do a webinar on what’s new in canine pyoderma and kindly offered to sponsor it. I having been putting the lecture together to focus on the challenges of treating pyoderma along with some new ideas.
This webinar will take place on 8th September and is another of our very popular lunch and learn webinars.
