Dr. Robert Fulton DVM

Dr. Robert Fulton graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 and started a nearly 18-year career in emergency and critical care medicine. During these years Dr. Fulton also pursued residency training in theriogenology. His research interests included canine in-vitro fertilization, in-vitro oocyte maturation, intracytoplasmic sperm injection, as well as cryopreservation of gametes. His clinical interest included the use of ultrasonography for both equine and canine breeding management. Building upon this early ultrasound experience, Dr. Fulton incorporated ultrasound into his management of emergency and critical care cases and ran an outpatient ultrasound and computed tomography service at a specialty referral and emergency hospital in Richmond, Virginia. He has written several chapters in Focused Ultrasound Techniques for the Small Animal Practitioner and Point-of-Care Ultrasound Techniques for the Small Animal Practitioner. Passionate about teaching fellow veterinarians and veterinary technicians point-of-care ultrasound and expanding these techniques to include many zoo species and marine mammals, he created Clarividus Veterinary Ultrasound and Education to forward these pursuits.
