Don’t worry I am not a big fan of the Pointer Sisters. I am just so excited to tell you about the launch of our second International Webinar Vet Virtual Congress which will be taking place on 11th January 2014. It’s a Saturday and we will be on from 9.30am to 5 pm.
This event created a real buzz in January when over 350 vets registered from 26 countries to view a fantastic programme of diagnostic imaging, endocrinology, feline internal medicine and cardiology. It is already the largest veterinary Virtual Congress in the world and it will only get bigger next year.
We will be holding live webinar streams on oncology, rabbit cardio respiratory medicine, hind limb lameness and feline infectious diseases.
We will be launching the Congress on the 16th September with 2 webinars at 1pm and 8pm. I will be explaining about the virtual congress and how it will work. This is a very new innovative approach unlike any other congress you have been to and I wanted to make it very clear how it will work. I will also be offering a webinar only price which will be available until next Friday at 5pm BST:
When I set up The Webinar Vet, my mission was to make veterinary education affordable and accessible to vets worldwide. Veterinary CPD, both in its traditional form and online can be incredibly expensive. However, our work over the last three and a half years has made it much easier for vets in many countries to get high quality veterinary CPD at fantastic prices. I am really passionate about continuing to give my colleagues this amazing value. I remember chatting to Peter Heathcote at BSAVA and he was so pleased we had set up The Webinar Vet and made it our mission to make CPD so accessible.
The vets who attended the Virtual Congress earlier this year loved it. Here are just a few of the many testimonials we received:
I would like to congratulate you and your team for the excellent Congress that you presented yesterday. I was attending the feline medicine lectures and they were absolutely great. The additional file with proceedings of the Congress is very helpful as well. Thank you once again! Veneta Kozhuharova
Thanks for organising a really excellent day. I have learnt a lot and I appreciated the tea and coffee touch too. Looking forward to watching the other 2 streams at my leisure. Many thanks again to you and your team. Sally Pittaway
The Virtual Congress will take place on Saturday 11th January 2014 between 9.30am to 5pm in the comfort of your own home without the need to travel on icy roads to distant hotels. We will also be providing Fair-Trade refreshments and your very own mug to enjoy them in.
We will have 4 live streams which makes 12 hours of CPD:
- Rabbit cardiorespiratory medicine
- Feline Infectious diseases
- Hindlimb lameness
These will all be very practically based so that you can take ideas and tips into your practice on Monday morning after the Congress.
All of the lectures will be available in video and audio formats to listen to after the event. This will allow you to review material you saw on the day but also look at webinars that you missed – something that you can’t usually do at physical congresses.
We will also have 2 recorded streams that you can view at your leisure from some of my favourite webinars from the Platinum webinar archive. Let me know if you agree or disagree with my choice. These have been grouped into practice management and clinical pathology and will cover another 7 hours of CPD!
The speakers are all renowned experts such as John Chitty, Severine Tasker, Doug Thamm and John Innes.
I will let you know the speakers and topics in more detail and will give you a chance to buy tickets after the webinars on Monday.
This event was really one of the veterinary events of the year in January this year and I do hope you give it a try in January 2014. I’m sure you won’t regret it. All tickets come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. You have nothing to lose and a lot of fantastic veterinary knowledge to gain!
See you Monday.
To your CPD success!
