Description

Dogs over the age of 8 and cats over the age of 13 make up a significant proportion of our case load. But is age a barrier to anaesthesia? In this webinar I will discuss that this is not the case and use case studies to demonstrate a best practice approach to these pets. We will consider the influence of concurrent diseases commonly seen in older pets such as cardiac, hepatic and renal disease and how best to optimize anaesthesia. Not forgetting analgesia, we will consider acute pain management to enable us to manage these animals perioperatively.
