This 6 week course is aimed at helping people working in the veterinary profession to understand more about sleep, to worry less about sleep and to feel less tired and bothered about the effect that sleep problems have on their lives. By the end of the course most people will be experiencing improved functioning and will be more relaxed and content. The course is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy principles. ACT has a very good evidence base for helping people with sleep pre-occupation disorders and insomnia.

Mike works as a Consultant Mental Health and Wellbeing expert. Mike’s professional areas of interest include sleep, anger, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) forensic mental health, social prescribing, relapse prevention, new ways of working within primary care mental health and Perinatal Mental Health.
Mike has pioneered the use of webinar technology to provide therapy, to deliver courses and to help people who struggle to access services to gan help and learn new ways to live happier more meaningful lives. He attempts to offer choices and options as part of routine practice. Mike has also been involved in the development of Qatar’s first primary care mental health service.
Mike has published on a wide variety of areas including sleep and depression, Primary Care Mental Health, parental mental health, antipsychotic side effects post traumatic stress disorder, long term conditions, grief and the use of technology to deliver therapy.
Mike trains nationally and internationally on a variety of mental health areas.
Mike's other passions in life are his dog Billy, his tortoises and his wife and family.
